Bump there is no doubt KSU has a better coach and has the advantage. I think they will finish ahead of KU this year but you never know what will happen between them and KU with the game in Lawrence. Mangino was really good at home so it eill be interesting to see if Gill can keep that going. That certainly was not the case in the Terry Allen era.

To be honest I am pretty much ready for year 2. Not expecting much and I am ready for some NFL. Got Chiefs season tix this year hoping that they are finally ready to bounce back. Basketball will be interesting though. Andy Katz has KSU #5 and KU #16 to start the season. It will be a fun year come bball season! Will KSU be able to handle that pressure?

As I have posted in the past, I am really a basketball fan at heart. I wish the cats had a coach like Martin when I was in college. I feel like all the K-state basketball fans who stuck with the team through the depressing years are due some success. Kinda like the football fans who got to enjoy seeing Coach Snyder turn the program around.:D

Basketball #5? Ranked higher than KU??? I dunno about all that... All I can tell you is that it was such a JOY to watch MY team in the NCAA tourney last season. All season long, really... I'm really looking forward to next season, regardless of whether or not the hype is true. Hopefully the team will remain competitive for many years, maybe even forever.

S.D., You have OK. 11-1 and lookin at the schedule I see no loss on it? Do they lose their bowl game to get the one loss? I'm thinkin more like 8-3 but you put together a very nice rundown of the big-12 conf. Watchout ESPN may be callin....it will be fun to see how it shakes out. Bring on some football!!!!

Hey man, don't count your team out yet. KSU and KU are both UNDEFEATED as of right now! :D The wheels fell off KU's football season last year, but there are so many unknowns about this season. Geez man, don't give up yet. At least wait until the Cats put the smackdown on y'all in Lawrence. HA HA HA HA. Sorry, I couldn't resist. GO STATE!
