I just heard that Arkansas has put out feelers on joining the Big 12. How interesting would that be? Add another school like Memphis and we could be back at 12. This crap is never gonna end.

I Think Arkansas would be a great fit for the Big 12. I have heard rumors that TCU would like to come over too, I think they would also make a good fit.

    BOOMER SOONER!

Another TX team will not be added. Arkansas possibly. BYU possibly. But more than likely no teams will be added.

The fat lady will by crying in less than ten years when the Texas Whorns decide you guys are getting too big a slice of the pie. Right now they've decided to keep KU, KSU, MU, and ISU around for patsies and whipping boys. They are positioning for When they finally bring on board Houston, Memphis, SMU, Rice, TCU, Southern Miss, Tulsa, Texas Southern, Ark St, and Ark too keep the money more local you four will be gone. That gives them their SuperConference and the money and the whipping boys all rolled up in a nice package. Don't fret too much, rumor out of Lincoln is the Huskers would like to schedule you all on two year deals someone on your end is dragging their feet on this one, probably figure that non-conference game might cost them a break even season in your new conference. You had a good five year run out of a hundred and sixteen years, but it was obvious after last year that things were back to normal. At least we can root for ya in your new conference since you have have deep ties to Nebraska in your new Coach at KU and Snyder is back to straighten out the Prince fiasco. You get to keep Coach Gill for a lot longer now that Nebraska is going East to play and Polini won't have to leave to have ties to his Conference. How's that for stirrin the pot!!!!

After having talked to several players on the football team and watching the spring football game I am very excited for this fall. This football team has a very real shot at the North. They are going to be an incredible running football team for the next 4 years and we have upgraded our wide outs with young talent. QB is still a question but the running backs we have and the impending transfer of Bryce Brown for next year we are going just run over people and then hit them over the top with our speed at wide out like we use to (don't need a lot of talent at QB to do that). The biggest pick up all of the player say is the new S&C coach. Coach Snyder actully told him to pull back a little because the kids are getting big and spending to much time lifting. Have not heard that in a long time.

Sleep easy Wildcat Fans the kids are very hungry and excited and there is more talent and skill there than there has been in years. Should be a lot of fun. I have my tickets, do you? Oh and the basketball ball won't be bad as a preseason top 5 team. I still think the title goes through UK but this could be a very fun year to be a wildcat. Is it football season yet?
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

Default Comparing the Big 12 schools to countries.

Just saw this and had to share........

Texas is like the USA - Wealthy, talented, and with seemingly endless resources. They have a big ego, but are deserving of it because they win at almost everything they do. Others often despise them out of jealousy. Their money and wealth make the world go round, and everyone wants a piece.

Texas A&M is like China - Big, powerful, and rival of Texas (USA). They live in a male dominated society, and thus their women are not allowed to be cheerleaders. Their money and power also make the world go round.

Oklahoma is like Mexico - Having no resources of their own, they have to invade the border of Texas (USA) in order to survive.

Oklahoma State is like Venezuela - There wasn't a whole lot there to start with, but without the oil money they would be nothing there at all. They have a crazy guy in charge who often shouts nonsense when he speaks.

Baylor is like Israel - A feisty little religious enclave that could not survive without Texas (USA). However, if provoked, they WILL kill you.

Colorado is like Canada - A small, unimportant bastion of liberals who are not very good at anything. Like Canada, they are bad at all sports other than hockey. Like Canada, they produce no GDP.

Nebraska is like Russia - A former super power who frequently stirs up trouble because they still think they are a super power. Nebraska (Russia) thinks it is the equal of Texas (USA), and pouts in public when it doesn't get its baby way. When they do not get their way, they take their ball and go home. Go big RED!

Missouri is like Iran and North Korea - a definite member of the axis of evil. Conniving and loyal to no one, you can not believe anything they say (you can only watch in amazement at what they do). Like Iran and North Korea, they are hated and despised by everyone--even the Swiss.

Iowa State is like Switzerland - Boring, unimportant, not good at much of anything, but neutral and without enemies. Even the hawkeyes like the Swiss.

Texas Tech is like Australia - Big, dusty, and a Texas version of "down under". Cowboys, like Aussie's, drink a lot of beer and carry weapons.

KU is like France - KU is full of socialists and they think they are better than everyone else. This high opinion of themselves is not shared by anyone else in the world. Like France, KU can not be trusted or counted on during a time of need.

K-State is like Ireland - A gritty, feisty, over-achieving little country with a large inferiority complex. What they lack in resources, they make up by determination and people. Others can't find them on a map, but they like them because they are fun, friendly, and like to drink beer.
