    Default New Sickles Any Better?

The last batch of black chromes I got from Shorty's late Summer, #6 had the annoying short eye leg and #4 had a too wide gap and out bent points. Anybody got some recently that are better?

Have never found their QC to be good, but they are so sharp and I like the extra gap size is the reason I use them. I have been tying jigs with them for 3 years now. Still hate when they break, when they have open eyes, when they have no barb or it's off to one side. Never saw hooks with so many problems, but I still like them. Even had one break yesterday while tying in my tail and it broke just after the first bend.

Have not found a better hook as far as being sharp in the sizes we use.

I'm With You Guy's When It Comes To The Sickles.qc Is Terrible.i Usually Pitch About 3-5 For Every Hundred I Pour, but I Love The Sharpness And Wider Gap.i've Been Using Them For Three Years And I'd Hate To Even Think How Many Fish I Would Have Lost In That Amount Of Time Without Them.i've Never Had One Break While Tying,a Few When Fishing.that's The Toughest Part. We Can Control Everything About Our Jigs Except The Most Important Part, the Hook Itself.
