I find it excellent for doing this type of work.will try to post some pictures in the future. We do use power paint on the blades make sure that you curate in the oven. Your best bet is to use vinyl paint
Any way to use powder paint on the inside face while leaving the outside face nickle?

Another question, how do you hold the hook in place when sodering it onto the blade? One hand holds the soder, one the gun, what holds the hook in place on the small blade?

I will use the soldering iron to hold the hook and shell in one place to solder. For some jigs I use forceps as a third hand. Soldering should take place in about 7 seconds if your iron was tinned properly.

You could solder your hook on the inside. Clean off any excess flux. Wash off thinner. Then heat it the toaster oven. Take it out and use. Baby spoon to only apply powder paint to the inside. Place it back in the oven to cure.

When I powder paint my big saltwater jigs,I put them in the toaster oven for about 5 minutes at 375 degrees.I grab them with a pair of pliars and put them over the powder paint bottle and use a small water colors brush and dip it into the paint and tap it with my finger. You get a light coat of paint on the jig.I'm sure that you could do the same thing with a spoon,You have more control of the paint applied. And better yet,it won't run to the tip, when you hang it to cure.Remember to turn your oven down to proper curing temp.
