    Smitty let me tell you that these flies rock! I tie them on size 14 hooks and have landed lots of gills and bass.

    I tie a black knat on a 1/48th. oz head using red thread.. A spot of chart. for spice.

    So is this a topwater fly or do you put a sinker in front of it and let it float up from the bottom?

    My favorite bluegill bait is a 1/124th oz black microspoon tipped with a maggot, fished with or without a small float. Caught well over 200 at Ky lake last spring and used the same spoon for them when i got back to PA and hammered them here too.

    I saw a video of how to tie something similar to these on youtube.com,they have rubber legs though.I'm gonna try some next spring.
