    Default Good hooks for pours

I used to pour my own and still have the stuff. I am sick of sub par jig heads. Molds fit a 570 or 575. Whats the best or atleast a really good hook. Or who wants to sell me some. Looking for a 1/16 or a 1/24 with a #4 or #6.

Lot's of good hooks out there. Depends on what you want to spend on the hooks. Victory sickles are good and fairly cheap. Mustad Ultra points are excellent and cost a little more. Then there are Owner 5318 jighooks and Gamakatsu 114 jig hooks. Pricey but really sharp, I've used them all with success. Do you have the 1/16 and 1/24 molds? Are you going to be tying with them or are you using them with soft plastics?

I do have the molds. Ive tried my hand at tying and I am not impressed with me. Lol. I am looking for closed eye with a sharp collar and I want them to bend fairly easy. I used to pour and sell locally but it got in the way of me fishing. I still pour if I feel the situation warrants a heavier head and smaller hook. That sort of thing.

Jungle Jim can you message me a quote for some or link an address.

I use Matzuo Sickle hooks, IMO they are too soft. You better check them after fish caught. They are super sharp though.

VMC 9147BZ Cheap, stupid sharp, and haven't had any major QC issues. Maybe 5 hooks per 1000 may have a defect.

I still have some old stock Mustad and EC round bends and use them, have Matzuo's and Little Nasties. I've never had a problem with any of them.
