    Default FOXY JIGS

Yesterday I tied up some 1/16 Foxy jigs on #2 sickles. I start at the hook bend and tying 10-12 small clumps of hair per jig in several colors I work my way up to the head and tie off. Trying to get that perfect bait fish profile, full body but skinny top and bottom. Very time consuming but like how they turned out. Took me about ten minutes to make one jig.Name: IMG_5003.jpg

Nice! The local green fish would like em a lot. The river is slowing down so I might get a chance to go find some.

I try to paint and tie patterns to imitate smaller prey species like bluegill, small bass, green sunfish, etc. These are about 2.5- 3 inches long, perfect size for bigger predators. Had to find a bigger box to get them all to fit. Probably have 100 or so in the box right now in size 1/32-1/8 with hooks from #6- 1/0. Going to be fishing these a lot this year, really look alive in the water and having good results every trip on the river even with it being very low. Everything is low now, really need a soaker rain here. Gaining confidence in these with a few drops of slab sauce rubbed into the hair from head to tail.
