Default Needed bigger net fishing hair jigs

Cold morning bite was slow bank fishing on the river, couple small bass on the wedge tail fox jigs so made the switch to a darker pattern without the wedge tail. Only got one bite on it but made the most of it. Another grass carp that was even bigger than the one I caught last week. Net was way too small but tried twice to get it in there but only 1/3 of the fish would fit, hook pulled on second try and got soaked as fish swam away. Fish was long and round, probably 20-25 lbs. Taking bigger net next time I go. Left the river and fished a lake for a little bass fishing. Caught two in an hour on a 1/4 oz. bunny underspin. Very windy morning but good trip overall.Name: IMG_4985.jpg

Grass carp are totally different from a common carp when it comes to how they fight. They roll on the line and when I first stuck this fish it almost jumped clear of the water similar to a Tarpon. Using 10# braid I had it to the bank in less than five minutes. At least it let me take a picture. Really wanted to get a picture with a tape measure to see how long it was.
