Default Clear Water Crappie Jig Patterns

Our end of the lake is fed by clear mountain streams and there are times when the water is VERY clear. The banks are mostly red mud with some sandy banks scattered around. It's also pretty rocky in some places. But when there is a LOT of rain upstream we can get fairly well stained water coming down also. Another thing about our lake is that there is a LOT of flooded timber. When the lake was build, there was a lot of standing timber that was just flooded. And there was even one small town and lots of farms that were not cleared away, just flooded. With water depths at 50 - 60 feel deep and more, it's not a problem.

So, what are some of your favorite jig patterns for clear water? And for those times when there is a lot of rain and the water is stained, what would be some of your favorite patterns for that?

I don't sell jigs, if anyone is wondering. I just tie them for my own fishing pleasure. My buddy uses plastic baits and some days he catches more than me and some days I'm right with him or maybe a couple of fish ahead. But I just get a kick out of catching a big ole slab on a jig I tied myself.

    Thanks

Seems like a Grey Ghost would work. Maybe a leech pattern when it is stained?
