I would call that a successful test!
Did some more testing with the Wedge tail fox hair jigs on the river. On the second cast the float goes down I set the hook and big fish heads across the river peeling drag for about 5 seconds and hook pulls out. Catch a small bass to break the skunk. Little while later another hit and battle is on. Turned out it was a grass carp, maybe the same one I had lost a few days earlier. This time rod had new 8# line and was able to stop it from reaching the downed tree just below where I was fishing twice before getting it's head in the net, the rest wouldn't fit but scooped it onto the bank where it went crazy, scales were flying all over as it thrashed on the rocks. Took a couple pics and tossed it back. Guessed it weighed 10-12 lbs. Next cast was a nice crappie but that was the last bite of the day. Four bites, three fish total. Still nice to be out and not sitting at home.

A carp is one of the hardest fighting fish. I know that had to be fun. Congrats on your day of fishing.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Nice catches
