    Default Victory Hooks

I'm going to need more hooks. I'm thinking about going with a sickle style. Mostly I've used owner hooks the past year, I like the sharpness of them, but I haven't seen a sickle hook from them and they are expensive. I've only ordered hooks from Barlow. They have, Mastad and VMC with similar prices, then Victory a little more expensive, and then Owner at about 4 to 5 times the price.

Any experience with the Victory sickle or Aberdeen for that matter. I found a couple topics about the Victory hook where people got them in to try out, but not much follow up on how they actually worked when fishing.

I mostly fish with a trout magnet if that makes a difference. looking to make 1/32 ball head jigs, so most likely #6 hook to match up with the length of the Trout magnet body.

I’d ask Patrick at Woods and Water Outdoors. (Fridays86 here on cdc) he sells and uses Victory hooks and could probably give you good information about them.

I order them from Patrick and haven’t had any issues with the victory hook or anything I’ve bought from him always great products. Strongly recommend.

I have used Victory sickle and Aberdeen style hooks from Patrick the last few years. Mainly for bluegills and sunfish. I feel they work great.

I like the Victory sickles but get some bad hooks in every box so keep an eye on them. I buy from Woods & Water as well. Great service and the prices are good. Just ordered 1000 #8 sickles this week.

I buy my jigheads already poured and dont know which brand of hook this person uses. I can tell you they are sharp sickle hooks. I'll never go back to J hooks since using sickles.
