    Default A new tie, almost

Trying something new. It's not finished as a crucial part got back ordered, but wanted to post it up anyway. Hope you all like, but more importantly, I hope the crappie do too!!
Still needs the skin, and eyes. Can't do the eyes till I get he skin, alas the back order.Name: 20240213_204212.jpg

Thank you, Buckeye, just picking stuff off of YouTube and trying my hand at it. Repeat, repeat, rinse and repeat it again...just saying. Hopefully the crappie will like them.
Kinda got an urge to attempt what Crappieguy82 made. Can't seem to catch his on ebay, and haven't heard back from a sent PM, so, I'm attempting what I know. That is 1/16 oz and want to scale it down further.

I have PM’d Crappieguy82 as well and he replied a couple of times. I asked and thought he was going to post a “how to” for us but I haven’t heard back from him yet about it. He roughly gave me the process he does but more information would help. His work is very realistic.

I did as well, and he said if I had any question just ask and he would try to help...I did, but without reply's, I think I have it down close. Just need the skin, He said scud back, but all the glue I have dry's hard, so after a bit of searching I discovered two that have a paper backing. One is Crystal Skin, and the other is Thin skin. Unfortunately for me around here, it's a mail order only item. So I have to wait. I wasn't able to find out if he skinned his all the to the bottom, or just part way and left the bottom open. Wanted to buy some so I could learn. I tie for myself and give some away, not sell. I'll keep looking for his anyway.

By chance did he mention how he attached the scudback, other than just glue???
