    Default Fish house cleaning troths

I have been fishing at same cabin for at least 30 years. The owners have a large fish cleaning house. I would like to overhaul the troths (rested through) and filleting surfaces. The 2x12s are easy to find. It is fabricating the squared troths (10" x 12" x 16' that challenges me. I can do the renovation. Just not sure which metal to use for troths. Do I use aluminum, steel, galvanized? I will research a fabricator. ALWAYS check with Crappie.com folks for guidance. Thanks

Stainless would be my first choice. It is the most expensive option. Aluminum would be second. Galvanized I do not want around my food.

Your best bet is to check on Facebook/Market place or a local restaurant supply house for a used stainless steel table. Stainless would be my first choice and them aluminum. Galvanized would be a no go for me.

Stainless is what I would look for. I have an aluminum top on my fish cleaning table. It’s nice and works well. It is constantly needing cleaning. Even when cleaning fish a black film forms. I don’t know if it’s from a reaction with the fish or from something else. I use a large plastic cutting board laying on the top to clean my fish on.
