Most popular sizes are 1/32 and 1/16. 1/8 are good when fishing deeper water or fishing in windy conditions. I personally don't think style of head makes a difference but I do like collar less jig heads.
I need to tie up some crappies jigs. I have a lot of various materials but need jigheads. What would be your single most popular all purpose jighead color, style, weight and hook size? I'm not going into business, just tying for family, friends and fun. Will probably order 200 jigheads somewhere after looking at your expert input. Thanks in advance

If only wanted one size 1/16 wedge head with #6 j-hook. Caught many with that setup but a #4 hook would work as well. Regular ball heads would work too. Then 1/32 and 1/8 as well.
I troll mostly and use 1/8 and like a #2 hook. If they are deep I'll add a 1/16...but still like a #2 hook. I don't think the head color matters as much as the tail color as long as they go together.
