The All Chartreuse is called “Crazy Caterpillar” and the Grey/black and chartreuse is called “Skunk Fart”
    Appreciate the compliment!

Been tying for a while and of all the things I learned the biggest thing is tie them the way they catch fish for you. I remember as a kid our jigs was just a splitshot crimped on a straight hook and apiece of red rind off bologna for a skirt. I like the tail shorter but have tied for folks that like them long. Hey... save a few of your jigs so you can look at them later on down the road, they will tell there own story by then. Tie on my friend

The first jig I tied I used a pair of vise grips clamped in a vise to hold the jig. I used a spool of sewing thread on a wood dowel and used my beard hair for the tail. I called it the "Old gray beard" and caught a lot of crappie and bluegills with it. Later I bought a couple of vises and a box of assorted materials and tools at a garage sale and played around with it some. Now I mainly tie 3/4 and 1 ounce jigs for jigging walleye on the Detroit River in the spring.
