    Default Disapointed

I needed a few jigs for trying a new material. Didn't need many and really having a time with our mail carriers delivering even regular mail, so I tripped over to WallyWorld and got these. Every eye is plugged. Thankfully it's only vinyl paint, but still leaves one disappointed...Name: 20240120_204012.jpg

Last jigs I bought were 100 pks and asked for clean eyes. Almost lost that buy over it. Looks like I gotta get set up to paint 'em myself for now on.

WallyWorld in our neck of the lake has only stuff for surf fishing or red and white bobbers. The only jigs you find in there are silicon skirted bass jigs. Nice selection though. And yes 25 inches of snow in 2 storms 2 days apart then dropping to 20 below has slowed the mail system down here too. Oh and the postal service can't find help either, really sad they work six days a week and want the help to show up at least most days. Times they are a changing

Vinyl paint is the worst to clean out. When I first started painting jigs I used vinyl before powder paint was first introduced. Lot of headaches from that stuff from fumes even with good air flow around me. Then I bought my first jars of powder paint and at that time it sold for $1.99 for a 2 oz. jar. Still have some 1/32 and 1/16 vinyl jigs from that era, still clogged and too lazy to clean out.

Hey Grumpy, There's a couple of problems with the mail here. One is ALL mail, even cross town mail, must go through two post offices here, then go to Kansas City, a solid 3 1/2 hrs. away to go through two more distribution centers to come back and again go through the same two local distribution centers, to then be given to the mail carrier for delivery. In my case, that carrier is a trainee, as we are on the new trainee route. ALL mail from else where goes to Kansas City for the two distribution centers there, then to here to two distribution centers before the trainee carrier gets it...I'm going to start asking and paying for either FedEx or UPS...
I live in lot 212, and have received mail for lot 21, lot 112, lot 213, lot 214 as well as having some of my mail going to many different lots in this park. I just don't understand why people don't take a little more pride in their work or work ethic's.

I feel your pain. When I go to Wal-Mart I specifically look for packs that have the largest percentage of jigs eyes not sealed with paint! I’ve got a few like yours over the years with almost every jig covered up. Good news is Wal-Mart is the best deal I’ve found so all works out

One thing about vinyl is some of there colors are so vivid and bright that I can not get that out of powder. The walleye folks I make jigs for are picky, picky picky. I toothpick the eyes of vinyl while they are wet but that don't help none for the dry ones though. I drill out my powder coat if it gets baked into the eyes.
