    Doesn’t get much dirtier then the Mississippi muddy waters,,,,,,especially after a day or two of rain,,,,

    Jig head color I recon I've painted more Alewife than any other color...

    Depends on water clarity but ole #1 for me in any situation is black/green char i have to give honorable mention to orange/char....in clear water blue/ice and anything monkey milk always works for me especially in the cold water.

    You know, I’ve never even given it thought. Does water temperature play a part in what colors work better than others. I usually focus more on size of jig, depth, line weight . . . ect. depending on water temp.

    Combinations of black/white, gray/white with the Gadwall and mallard flank jigs with some chartreuse in tail or throat. Orange and bright green get honorable mentions. Red thread necks are killer and favorite is actually Fl.Orange UNI-Thread in 8/0. I'd use 6/0 but for some reason they don't make it in that size. This thread looks red but glows under UV light.
