    Default Jig tying supplies?

Where are y'all buying your supplies? I just dabble with tying and only have some basic tools, one bobbin holder and only black thread, a whip finishing tool that's possessed by the devil himself and a cheap vise. I need a quality pair of scissors, one or two more bobbin holders for different colored threads and tying material.

    Thanks, Justin

Get a bobbin with a ceramic tip. It will greatly reduce your frustration level. I use cheap scissors that came with a grooming set and they work fine. A whip finishing tool is like a riding a bike. Once you get use to it you can do it with your eyes closed.

I have found that good scissors are important. Dr. Slick are pretty good. I like the Razor -4.5inch Hair. Stay away from anything Pakistan....cheap and worthless

To add to Dave's list, there is also Fly Tyers Dungeon, Holsinger's Fly Shop, Mad River Outdoors, Feather-Craft Fly Fishing, Ole Florida Fly Shop, The Fly Fishers, All Points Fly Fishing. There are many more, but those will have about anything you'll need.

Don't forget ebay. I have found some great deals. I look everyday but already have way way too much. But still find a deal that I can't pass on. It's addictive.

Another one is flyfishfood.com as well as janns net craft Skiptomylu mentions up in the stickies...I know there are many more. And as mentioned before, you can spend as little or as much as your check book can handle. It is very addictive, and therapeutic.
