Thanks RJR, I bluegill fish a pond near home. Carry my O2 and a bucket of fish is all I want anymore. But fishing is my passion these days. I have poured and painted jigs since the early 80's and kinda miss it. Sold my pouring stuff to a local for a grand and now I am teaching that young man the in's and out's of it. I will keep your offer in mind though.

For the Lee pot if it leaks turn the valve rod with a flat top screwdriver three or four times. If still leaks empty out all of the lead. Remove the valve rod. You will have remove the two screws and the handle. If the valve rod is pitted you need to replace it. Also look inside the pour hole. if it in rusted or full of stuff in it the pot needs to be replaced. Parts don't cost very much. Here is the place to go. Lee Precision, Inc.. Production Pot Iv Parts

Mine also leaks but if I rotate the thing at the top with a flathead and clean out the spout I can always get it running smooth. If I’m casting a lot at once I usually have to stop to do maintenance on the pot at least once

SlamminJack, thanks for posting the link. Just ordered a new pot and valve rod.

Grumpy, I had no idea. You’re in my prayers from here on. You better get out and fish when you can. The heats so tough down here that I’m done by 11. It’ll be cold up your way before you know it. Sorry to hear of you selling your stuff. I’ve had to thin mine down too. Just run out of space.
