I've got a lot of bucktail left over from tying saltwater jigs, which I haven't done in years. Wondering if I can repurpose it for Crappie jigs.

Yep! I don't know why the program kept changing Bucktail to Ducktail. In fact, it just did it again as I was typing this. I caught it in the body of the post, but I missed it in the subject line. Sorry about that! Thanks for the feedback. I might wrap some up this week.

Yes, over the years of tying I use to tie a lot of Bucktail jigs for guys! Some like it better than anything else! I like feathers, but also will use a hair type jigs sometimes. I do find the smaller tails to be best as the hair it a little smaller/thinner!

Go check out furtails.com,,,,I love artic foxtails in pure white, then use an acid dye to change its color,,,acid dye is easy to use, just add salt , boil for 20 minutes, then a teaspoon of white vinegar to help hold the color,,,wash with dish soap and your done, alittle bleach helps get those crazy colors out of your hands after,,,,but what job it does,,,beautiful dyed foxtails,,,gives you tons of fur for less then $10.00 each tail
