Thanks guys! SuperDave I started tying that color combo a long time ago for some guys from up North that went to Florida every year for crappie. They were not underspins though and were just regular jigs. They caught all kind of fish using them. So at some point I tied these Pony’s just for kicks.

Skip Those are very nice . I have a question for you about those underspins . How do you clean the powder paint from the eyes ? I think you are dipping them by holding the swivels . I just started making them and have not figured out a system for dipping them in the powder paint yet. Right now i am quenching the swivel in water before I paint the jig head . I have read others use heat shrink or aluminum foil to cover the swivel before dipping. Wrapping the swivels is my last resort beings it seems like its time consuming. Just curious how you dip em thats really nice looking work on your part.

I cover the swivel with tin foil and then take it off after. Some use heat shrink tubing to do that, but I don’t see an easy way to take it back off, also some just dip the swivel in water before dipping in powder paint. I tried that dipping in water and it worked, but I had to be so careful not to drip water in my paint that I didn’t care for that either so just do the tin foil thing!
Also on the eye I just use tooth picks I shaved to a small point and stick it through as soon as it comes out of the paint to clear the eye!
