    Default Victory 10575BN

Always trying to build the better mouse trap, I picked some of these up from Patrick at WW. I got a 100pc in size 2 and size 4. I've never used these before but had some Victory sickles that were hands down the sharpest hook Ive ever used. That said, I DO NOT LIKE SICKLE HOOKS! The fact they were sharp hadnt escaped me though so I'm trying the 10575BN.

One thing I've noticed is that the #4 is needle sharp, while the #2 is noticeably less sharp. The barbs arent as pronounced as some hooks I've used. I haven't had a chance to try them, but will pour some this evening to try this weekend. I'll use this thread as an update to my results and hopefully it'll be of use to someone in the future.

I've bought and used some jigs from Patrick that use the Victory hooks. I've been happy with them all so far. Looking forward to your report.

Me too. The last time I bought hooks was when Matzuo was strong in the market, and I still have a few. I need 1000 #8 black chrome sickle. I’m out.

Didn’t victory take over Matzuo sickle hooks when it dissolved? The sickles are almost identical I heard down to the less of a barb like matzuo had.

The guy building them came from Matzuo, worked there 40 years.

Didnt get a chance to pour/tie on this hook last night. Had to finish an order. Hopefully I can get some done up this afternoon. Nothing like a tourny to test gear in
