    Default Bunny and Bucktail Jigs

Been in White Bass/hybrid striper mode the last couple weeks but think crappie will eat some of these as well. Bucktails average length is 2.5" and weigh 3/32 on #2 sickles and the bunny jigs are 3/16 and 1/4 with #1 and 2/0 jig hooks. 3-3.5" in length. Name: IMG_4085.jpg

Agree, nice mix and great work as always. Is that squirrel tail under the bunny wraps?

Do you get many short strikes with those long tails?

No squirrel tail, all rabbit hair. I don't get many short strikes with these but some bigger longer baits over 4" I seem to miss more so add a stinger hook. I'm using Decoy trailer hook in size 2 which are very sharp and attach it to the bend of the hook. It adds another 1" of hook to the bait. Been using the Stardust paint that's a rubberlike plastic to paint over the eye of the trailer hook and it locks the stinger in place so it's not flopping around on the other hook.
