I have 2 of these and love them. Force Predator. They are super strong...shaft is 1/2" The jaws are interchangable. And its a true center rotation. You can ajust the center with just a twist of a screw....makes it so easy to spin on chennele. They were espensive and they don't make them any more. Was crazy happy to find the first one and then I was over the top to find anouther one. Had to hav it.
Look at the size of it ...and you can ajust it up to like up to a foot up off the table to get it closer to my old eyes.... There isn't anything out there like it. The jaws hold so well you can litterally bend the hook strait and it won't slip. Look at the peak vice in the picture to compair the size. Will hold from a #22 up to a 6/0 hook. Spins like a Norise....smooth. The base weights like 10 lbs. So solid. If i could find anouther one...I would buy it.

The one in the picture is not a Peak vise, Renzetti maybe. That force predator is huge!
My Peak Vise has served me good. It’s made in USA and easy to find parts and accessories. Sold everywhere and built like a tank. I’m unable to find the price on the Jvise for comparison. I’d say the same that was suggested to me, go somewhere to try different ones. The different jaw dimensions, gaps and user friendliness might help you decide. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

Thanks Dave. Wasn't sure what that vise was but its the size I was emphaisizing. Most vises are made for flys and although the Predator can be used to tie tiny flies..it rocks for jigs and big saltwater streamers. I just havn't seen anything like it. Covid killed the sales as the guy in Colorado was just cranking up. Really nice guy and he helped me get my second one. I know from seeing Takeum's work that he is serious about tying and just though I would show him what I think is the best ever made. What I really like is that the screw in the back can be loosened to move the head so that the jaws can be perfectly centered with ease.
