Default Only jigs I ever made

I've only made jigs once in my life; I was about 12 yrs old! Was on a family fishing trip to Narrowsberg, New York and was out fishing for bass with a few spoons. Well lost all my spoons and didn't want to quit so I got some bird feather's off the ground and put them on a hook held in place with a splitshot! Killed the bass! Have no idea why but I've never done that again. We ever get our crappie back here in central Oregon and I'm gonn have to try that again!

I too vote for you to pick it up again. I’ve learned so much from these folks about building jigs but I also learned patience and how to relax and enjoy what I’ve done. The fish are icing on the cake.

Nothing like buying capes and tails and string and hiding away in a secret laboratory.
Maybe they will bite this one……

I totally agree with the others, tying your own jig is therapeutic. Then actually catching on said jig, you just can't bet the feeling you get...

You will never forgive yourself if you do not pursue your dream of tying jigs again. I believe you will wonder why you did not do it sooner. Have fun.

I have tied jigs for a long time. Another thing too, I have given some jigs too folks and they had a good day with them. That too is a good feeling.
