First thank you all so much!

Well I am not sure of how long it will take to complete the recovery, but I see him again on 6 weeks so think that should about when it’s finished. I have a really good orthopedic surgeon and he is retiring this year. He is also having the same surgery after his retirement.
Will say right now I can not do much with this hand, so so sore, lol!

My friend, you are needed on this forum for your inspiration, teaching us all your techniques and some of your secrets to tying and making glow in the dark lures. You are the reason that I first attempted hand tying lures and Snake River is the reason I first started to create soft plastic lures. Both of you are innovators and invaluable to crappie dot com. We are all praying for your continued healing in the name of Jesus because I know first hand how good of a healer he is. Forty five years ago I had a calcium build up in my right hand that was five inches high. It kept building up because the insurance companies were fighting who was liable; was it the school system of the military.

Finally a decision was made and an operation was scheduled. The doctor had to rebreak every bone in my right hand, remove the calcium lump, reset every bone again and sew my hand back up. The entire hand was put in a cast for three months. The doctor told me he did not even know if I would be able to have the fingers on that hand touch each other again. I just told him that I know Dr. Jesus!

Since then, Jesus has brought me through a Stroke, Heart attack, Cancer, Operations on both shoulders and allowed me to be 77 this year. That is why I want to encourage you that all will be well with you Skip. Just endure this trial and go through in faith. If God brings you to it then God is able to bring you through it. I will be praying for you.

    Mike

I need the same surgery, have been getting cortisone shots with out much relief. I have been looking at stem cell injection as an alternative to surgery, but its not covered by insurance and is $7500 for one treatment. Please keep reporting on your recovery and out come. Wish you the best in your rehab and recovery.

    Thank you all!
mkeller it’s still really touchy so can’t do a lot with it, but more and more of the really easy things are starting to show up. Keep in mine my Doctor is getting the same surgery as soon as he retires this year. Since I don’t see home again until 6 weeks after the last visit so am thinking that is when I will know a lot more.
