Yes I have some. It is a little thicker and stiff from other chenille but very manageable. I like to make sure it’s tied down good to make sure it doesn’t unravel. Can’t remember where I heard that tip from.

    Question

The closest I have is a "crystal" Antron. It doesn't have as much flash as crystal, but the colors are good. To me it is harder to apply, but if you pull some off and expose the thread, and tye that down it is easier to manage. Some say it is tougher, but I can't, I usually loose them first... Hope this helps.

Takeum, I’ve used it some and like it fine but as others have said, it has its own personality. All good info so far. What I used had some flashy stuff mixed in instead of plain color. I used one that was tan in color I liked a lot for smallmouth jigs. I think it’s worth you buying a small card of it to fool with and see if it works for what you’re after.

Antron is stiffer I would say. One tip when tying with it, you will not be able to put one more wrap by the head like other chenilles to make that tight look. It is too bulky for that.

I've been using the Trilobal Antron chenille for years, actually purchased a 300 yd. spool of chartreuse and used it all and bought another 300. Still have 100 yards or so left since I don't tie wholesale anymore. I use the small size, about six wraps on a 1/16 jig and it makes nice tight bodies.

I use to tie a lot of jigs using Crystal Antron which I still like and have a good bit, but mostly just use my Danville chenille. Heck I still have a lot of other chenille other than these like Estaz, Ice Chenille, Krystal Chenille and Cactus, but I just like Crystal for the Mylar kind and the regular types from Danville.

I did find it really easy to tie a good looking jigs using the Crystal Antron even before I had a ton of experience. Now after something like 17 years of tying I just tie what I want.
