I wish I had a dollar for every one I’ve tied, truly my favorite. Variations come with whatever is laying on the bench. I’ve mixed in white and black at different times and most always use at least 1 strand of flash but never more than 3. If I’m using them shallow I have put a strand of red spinner bait skirt in the middle and built around it.
You’ve tied a very nice jig that will have you going down a rabbit hole looking for how to improve it for where you fish. Clear coat the heads and they don’t oxidize, keeping the same color longer.

My job has almost gone to full time...which keeps me from checking my own post as often.
I have to say, if you've ever noticed the jigs I've tied that I've posted over the past year, you would note that I tie with a lot of flash...and usually bright dyed bucktail. So your comment was noticed by me....about very little flash. And the red single rubber skirt to tie around....that needs to be a video...I'd try it but might not grasp exactly what you'd do...but I definitely appreciate your observation and the tips of your tying.....means a lot...thanks
