Default Anyone using Spike It to dye their plastics ?

I was thinking of buying all white baits and then adding a small amount of pink, green, yellow and orange to the tips of their tails. Small amounts. A hint. A whisp.

Is it a hassle unworthy or something really nice ?
Maybe they will bite this one……

I use chartreuse with garlic to do the tails on tiny flukes.

I use Spike it Worm -n- Chunk paint and a needle or the end of a drill bit to make the eyes.

Spike it dye will bleed like crazy, so you'll have to apply it on the boat and then toss the bait afterwards. I use it a lot to add chartreuse or red tips to baits.

You can also put about 5 drops of it into a bag of plastics, along with a tiny bit of liquid scent and it will dye the whole pack. You can make some cool colors this way, including the famous pearltreuse. Do not add very much though.

Don’t spill the bottle on your boat carpet. I dropped a bottle on my old Tracker boat and the brown carpet had a big chartreuse spot on the carpet along with a couple of my foot prints that I couldn’t remove. The fella I sold it to thought it was funny.

I’ve never used it. Would imagine it’s like their dyes for plastic which bleed.

I use a chartreuse pen to color the tails on my slider grubs . Never had a bleed problem with the pens .
I do usually color the tips of my fingers a lot .

I’ve used it for a long time and all the bad stuff already said is true. I like it to refresh the faded tails that I’ve carried for too long. Works good as intended but it isn’t permanent and doesn’t like sunlight after application, tends to fade but I can always reapply.

Does not come off of the seats very well. Spilled a little on the leather seats and it took forever for the sun to remove it.
