Thanks Grumpy. Coming from you...that means a lot. Planning on doing a lot more in different colors and was worrying that the first with just the simple rabbit tail might not be enough. But also wondering if the wrap was too much.

Thank you for the kind words. I will say that if you decide to go into the sales end of this it will go from a hobby to a job quickly. This is a labor of love. Be specific with people you sell to or tie what you want and try to sell that. Keep it fun my friend.

Thanks. I am retired and love crappie fishing. My wife and I moved to the Island of St Lucia 3 years ago and don't have anything to do. I started cutting rabbit stripes to sell to supplicate my income and sell a good bit. My daughter ships them from PA for me. Am hoping to tie about 2000 jigs to get started and list them when I visit in the spring. Don't expect to make a lot of money...just want to stay in the middle of crappie fishing. Can't do much fishing here. I'm surrounded by water but is real ruff waves on the side I am on and hard to travel to the other side of the island...especially dangerous to travel after dark...lots of hairpin curves. I have tons of supplies and trying to find the right style. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
One of the problems I have is that it is very hard ship to St Lucia...so I have to send what I need in a barrel when I get home. So its real important that I figure out what I need.

I certainly don't mean to discourage you in any way. Just keep it fun and don't burn out. You have the talent for sure.

Thanks. Sounds like good advice. I brought down about 2500 jigs and started it like a job and quickly started to dread it. So I just stopped and decided to just do exactly as you just said. I could use the extra money but I can get by without it so am just going to have fun. I would rather make really good jigs than just production. That why I need the advise on what to make. So far I really like the way rabbit moves and made a bunch of kip tail. Made some with feathers but seems there are a lot that makes them. If ones like this style I am going to make a bunch in different colors.
