Wow, some beautiful color combinations. I love the first picture blue and green.

Some very nice work!!! The fish pic is extra nice, like the hint of chartreuse you added. They’re all winners.

Back to eyes!!! Got this set poured, cleaned, painted and eyes glued on tonight. Been at least 5 years since I’ve used a red hook let alone anything other than black chrome. Ended up getting some of these Mustads along with Redge. I kinda like them. Also 2x ultra point hook was used. Uncertain if I’ll put a clear coat of some sort on these or no. If not I’ll start tying up tomorrow night. If I do clear coat then I’ll paint some more heads.

So I switched glues for my eyes to BSI epoxy. I’ve heard great things about it over the years and hear people that have used Devcon and BSI prefer BSI. So why did I make the switch? As you’ll know I’ve pounded the Gorilla glue clear drum for years. I made some jigs up last winter and when I went to use them this summer I noticed some had the paint (mainly chartreuse) discolored as well as didn’t bond well. This threw me for a loop as I still have many of jigs from years ago that have never discolored and eyes won’t come off no matter how hard you try to get them off. Only thing I changed was the way I stored them and that was in the blue gamakatsu box. I don’t know if this is what caused it or some other issue but it was enough to make me change my process.

The eyes have it from me. Having been in manufacturing on and off over the years there are quality control issues from time to time. I can see the pride and care you put into your product matters but don't give up on a product for a bad batch. It happens in all industries. I would pitch that bottle and next time you purchase try the glue again, if that bottle doesn't work let it go as they may have changed formulas. Keep the jigs coming.

I know Skip has mentioned many times chartreuse is one of the colors that is bad to darken from other products like Sally Hansen, etc. Could be same thing and just inherent quality of that color?

If it really bothers you please send the jigs to me and I will take care of them for you....
