Looks very good
Hey everyone...finally getting set up to start making jigs in St Lucia. Made a laptop workbench that fits on a table on each side and going to work. Looking for more advise..not for sale until May. Was trying Islandic sheep hair and may go back to it...but it tangles easy. Going to start with Kip tail (calf tails) and this flash fiber that I really like, Am doing the tie preacher style to give more movement and action. Since the wrap area is small I am putting a drop of glue on top of the thread...adding the Kip and tying....then adding another drop of glue to really make sure the hair is locked. Then adding the flash so that when the jig is flipped the lighter will be on the bottom. Double whip tying with 5 twist each to finish it off. So far when testing afterwards the hair is holding great. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

I use Softex Glue for jigs like that (thread neck jigs). After they are tied I coat the entire thread neck with the glue and it soaks in to make it super tuff!

Cool. I am using Solarez Thin hard UV.... coating the thread before I lay the hair and after i wrap it a few times to really coat the hair. Seems to really be holding. Appreciate the tip.

Tying up some more. Man I am glad to have something to do.
Good looking ties
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Nice looking ties. I'm a Solarez user and I like the way it locks the hair down. Keep up the good work.
I have been looking at Solarez but have yet to purchase any. Keep hearing good things on it so might have to pull the trigger and get some.
