    Default Magnifiers for poor eyes

Skip got me set up tying crappie jigs. But I have veered into fly tying, having rediscovered the joy of pan fishing on the fly rod. I need to get magnifying lenses to work at the bench on occasion, but mostly for use in the field. Can you folks recommend a decent product that is not overly expensive? It seems that as soon as one puts the word "fly" in a product description, prices go through the roof! Thanks.

Would magnified readers work? I have had to get a set for tying my knots and detailed things.

Hobby shops carry the visor type magnifiers if something stronger is needed

For me, walmart readers work better than my prescription glasses when tying.

Those are what I use as needed. The ones that come with the case are much better than the ones that don't

If magnification is all you need those cheaper ones work great. I needed additional correction as sure everything was bigger, but always blurry I got some progressives and worth every penny. Hope the cheap ones do the trick for you.

You may want to try some of these? These come with 2 different lens and magnification. Looks like they cost about $30.00, but I like mine.

Thanks, all. I want to avoid the readers because then I will be fumbling with 2 sets of glasses. I have proressive lenses, but need the magnificaton. Next week I have cataract surgery. Wish they could give me a bionic eye so that I could go from telescope to microscope in a blip. A fbuilt in fish finder at no extra charge would be peachy.
