Nice find. I still have my old Zebco rod but don't know what went with the old reel.
Let this reel go a long time ago and have always tried to find one! Well went I went to my Dad's last week stopped at a yard sale and there it was in excellent condition! Zebco Cardinal 3!

Great find. I much prefer the old Mitchell-Garcia reels myself. But will agree that reels from days gone by (in my opinion anyway), are much better. I now have two Mitchell 300's, a mitchell 308 and a mitchell 308A. The 300's are a bit larger than the 308's but love them just the same.
Proud to have served with and supported the Units I was in: 1st IDF, 9th INF, 558th USAAG (Greece), 7th Transportation Brigade, 6th MEDSOM (Korea), III Corp, 8th IDF, 3rd Armor Div.

That reel looks to have been lightly used and cared for. Great find and time to get another oldster back in service!

Good find Doug. I had a Lews speed spin from their early production that I liked a lot, til I wore the gears out of it. I look for the old reels down here but all I find are worn out parts reels or eaten up from the salt water.
