Now you will just wait on the thump. Good looking ties. We have fought 3 years of high water to moderate floods, but I went through a typhoon in south east Asia and those storms like your experiencing are the real McCoy. Stay safe.

Thank you! Thankfully the last two went on the East side of us, but going back a bit Hurricane Rita was something else. Dang thing came on shore and made it up to me still a Cat 2 and then stalled for two hours with us about 25 miles NE of the center and the whole time we could hear tornados going by and one touched down right next to our house, maybe 50 yards away and another took the top out of a big oak tree about 35 feet from the house. I bet we heard 10 or more go by.
The one last night was far enough away all we had was lost power for 11 hours and got 3.48” of rain, and Laura we got about 4 1/2” and lot more wind as it was only about 30 miles from us as it passed by on the East side too.
You are absolutely right, these storms are the real deal! Oh forgot to say, I lot count as how many I have been though, but it’s more than 8 for sure!
