    Default Vertical Presentation

The Gill are now up in the shallows now. I needed a lure that would sink slowly and decided to try a vertical presentation.
Components: #8 Aberdeen hook,.030 60/40 solder(12 warps for 1/64 once) ,Micro chenille, fine rubber legs.( your choice either 4 or 8 legs) ,210 thread.
I fish these under a bobber in 1 to 4 fow. I will probable use and drop shot rig when the fish go deep.
So far the lures work quite well; if there is a Gill around they will hit the lure.Name: IMG_4641.JPG

I tip the lures with a small piece of power bait or power wiggler.

Gills will choke those down fer sure. How'd you put the rubber legs on I tried something similar this year but the legs end up crooked and not uniform.

I believe in keeping it simple. I tied on the body material, make a head of thread and wrap back to the middle of the body.
I make three turns and then tie on the legs; then wrap back to the head and do a wipe finish.
If I am tying a eight leg pattern I keep the rubber strands together and separate after the lure is finished.
I looks nicer to put the body material over the legs but it is a pain. The fish don't care how you do it as both methods will work.

I had not been out due to bad weather. The Gills have moved out of the shallows.
The good news is the Crappies are up in the weeds 4-6 FOW.
The Lures do work on Crappies also; it has to be slow drop that seals the deal.Name: IMG_0193.JPG
