You have more patience than I do for sure. I know that's something that one can do, but I would just prefer no guard and if I loose one, just tie on another one. Believe me after some 15 years of tying I have way too many jigs. However my boys have started fishing again so I will have to give them a bunch too.

Good job tying them with the weedless heads. Have you tries the Mono type that is tied in with the body?

I do a few now and then with one or two strands of 40 lb cheap mono. It is not hard at all. My other options are a CB Slider, or do as Skip suggests. I have a few 100 before I run out.

I tie this double mono weedguard and hookup percentage is pretty good. This is a 1/8 × ×6 from my wacky head mold and use it for crappie. Name: Wacky%20jig%20%20.jpg
