The 3/4x1/2 weatherproof closed cell rubber has the ability to shrink big time after the superglue is applied and allowed to dry overnight. Actually had a couple strips shrink over an inch.To get around the shrinking problem I have been cutting strips over an extra length.Once they dry then I can cut them to length to fill the jig box edge to edge.
The next topic SK does talk about in his video is to design a layout for you strips that fits your needs.....
I also used a dremel tool to rough up the box surface which SK also mentioned.
SK's jig box build is actually two videos. One is your material list and the second one is the video listed above showing how he builds the boxes.
SK is my hero for his good ideas.
    Thank You Kindly SK
I have built 4 boxes now to finally get the last one's layout and the rubber edge-to-edge the way I am happy with it.
Plan to make a few more.

Pretty much my experience to a "T". My first effort I had the foam strips shrink over an inch. So the second run I allowed that much overage--maybe a bit more. Had no shrinkage whatsoever. So I trimmed to fit as desired. I repeated my process exactly each time so I do not know why one time it had an effect and one time not. I, too, used the Dremel to rough the surface. This box is great. btw I bought the DEEP version of the one compartment box. My preference.
Thanks Snagged again thanked you for this post

I did one like the above first. It worked great for me. Gave it to a friend when I did these SK versions. I do believe the SK box will allow you to really load it up.

    Hey there,
We are all justa little bit different in what we want in a jig box. That's ok. SK wants to
load up a bunch of sizes in one box .There is positives and negatives of doing that.
I am happy to load one box lid with 1/32 and the bottom with 1/16.Second box,1/8 in the lid and 1/4 in the bottom. It does not bother me at all to carry 2 uncrowded boxes.I also like just 3 foam strips in the top and bottom. That is what I was eluding to with the comment about designing a box to suit your individual needs. However you decide to do it is your choice.
Once again Thanks to SK for helping the rest of us make jig boxes we like...

Eventually plan to make some hand tie pony head boxes.

Going to go the DIY route. I like to travel light so will put together a box that will hold a dozen or so jigs to use for the day. Amazing all the uses you get from a pool noodle
