Thought I'd also include a photo of my homemade jig tying station. Made it from scrap lumber.
Well, here are some examples of my first attempts at tying. The chart/black ones on the bottom right were my first two. Still getting the hang of it. The hardest part for me is stacking and getting the hackle on correctly. Getting better as I go. Many thanks to SK, Skip and others for the advice and help. Got about 80 jigs painted, and going to try some other colors. This is kind of fun! Now, hope they catch fish.

I bet they catch fish as is! Good job and also on picking colors, these should be working for you! The making them look pretty will come in time. I remember when I first started and there was no videos and about the only help I got was from FAOL and one crappie jig tier that has now passed away, Matthew Carroll. So use the resources available and you can still get a lot of help from the lessons on FAOL!
The station looks awesome too!

Those look good and will catch them and as Skip said pretty will come with time. I'm still working on pretty....lol. Very nice tying station. I wish I had an area I could set something up like that. I have to put mine on kitchen table when I want to use it.
Very nice, welcome to the club!
Well done. "Pretty" comes with time. I still am probably 80/20 on pretty/not so pretty on my jigs. But I've also come to learn that "not pretty" doesn't equal not fishable. I've probably caught as many fish on my oops jigs as I have my flawless ones.

I got in a jig swap many years ago and learned I needed 12 identical jigs. It only took about 30 to get there.

You’re off to a great start.
I’m sure others have warned you, but be CAREFUL! This hobby is ADDICTING!
Send us another picture of your tying area in another 6 mos or a year. That will be the proof!

Thanks to all! Yeah, it's clean 'cause I just started! It's already addictive. So many ideas, so little time!
