Oh now that would be something i'm interested in. Sort of what I was thinking about doing with plastics though. 4" does seem long though.
I had not seen these before and maybe I am just behind, but think these are pretty cool and hope to try some soon. However I am thinking even the shorter ones seem long for crappie. Anyway check out these Dragon Tails which are a chenille type thing. The short ones in this picture are 4" and the longer one is 6".

Those are cool! 4” isn’t to big for Crappie.

They look cool. I’d try the 4 inch I think crappie would hit it.

I am going to try a 4" one for sure and just hope it last a while. I wish they the had the 4" in the variegated colors. I just ties on on a 1/32 Oz Pony head so maybe we see, lol!

Where can a person find those Dragon Tails?
ClearCreek
I can get them, but I only bought enough to get them in my hand to see. Places that sell Hareline Dubbin's materials may have it. For me to get them I need to be making an order anyway as they have minimums now days and I just got an order in that had these in it. Maybe check JS Flyfishing, I know they have Hareline products.
