Usually use Maribou, but just bought a squid tail. Also use some deer tail.

Here are some I tied up this morning. Use spinnerbaits skirt material. I also like using KipTail for this colder water.

I use maribou, deer, duck, rubber, and hackle. I think maribou and rubber skirts probably have the best action in water and hackle looks best out of water. Tie plenty of each, cause you'll never know what the fish want on any given day.

For chub style jigs I use mostly use natural Mallard/Teal flank feathers or Marabou fluffs (dyed grizzly and/or fluorescent). Also include in the tail fluorescent red thread or fluorescent crystal flash and sometimes both.
For my Auto style jig - we use "Reptile Rubber" for the legs and tail.

For casting or trolling I like buck tail. For vertical jigging or under a cork marabou.
