    Default Kip Tail

Skip this is a direct question to you but welcome all our fellow tiers to chime in. Being from way up here in the north I use primarily feathers and buck tail. Thinking of trying some kip tail. I have none and Would appreciate any advice before I buy some, Thanks and bring it on folks.

My best tip for ordering is don't order online, call them so you can ask questions if you have any. Example is kip tails, I would call who ever I plan ordering from and asking questions I may have for what ever I want. Example for kip tails would be...do you have any (pick a color) kip tails that have longer hair and not the really short stuff?

There are a lot of difference in what supplier you buy kip tails and some other things from! It makes a difference!

Skip is exactly correct. Some kiptails are short and have curly hair, which makes them pretty much useless. You want long straight hair as much as possible. I never buy them without being able to pick them out. Fortunately I live close to The Honey Hole, and Toledo Tackle, so I can hand pick them. Good luck!

Yes they are, along with some other stuff too. They have a pretty good selection of powder paint, feathers, and chenille.
