They will definitely catch fish, nice job.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

They are 2 color rabbit fur strips that i cut myself. My son picked up a bag of Rabbit Hide Variety Pieces from Cabelas in Lexington.
Hareline makes them and you get a bag full of scraps for $11.00 all different sizes and colors.I watched a youtube video and used a razor blade to cut the strips.
They have really good action in the water.

Looks like you may be trying the Bitch Creek Tiger Weave and it's a bit tricky and hard to stay on target, but once you get it right, it works pretty good. Here are a couple of my older ones you can see to help maybe?

The Granny Weave to me is easier to get right, but I always thought the Tiger Weave was cool looking, lol!

Yea skip yours look really good.I could not keep the weave from wanting to twist to the sides but i didnt give up.I like the looks of the tiger weave also so i tried it first.I see the bodies on yours are shorter too.
Its harder than it looks.I just need more practice.I will look at the granny weave.See if maybe i have better luck with it.Thanks for posting those.

Your welcome! Yes I tie shorter bodies than you do. Flies are tied more like you tie jigs, but most people tie jigs stop about the hook point/barb area. That Tiger Weave is tough and why it's in the Advanced Tying lessons. I find that we tend to loose one of the early steps. I still have to go back and look if I need to tie some, lol!
