    Default Jighead oxidation

I was recently given a bunch of jigheads. Unfortunately they're old and have that famous white oxidation on them.
What's the best method of removing it.

    Try soaking them in vinegar

I once ran a bunch through a reloading case tumbler with crushed walnut hulls as the media. They came out pretty clean and didn’t seem to dull the hook points.

If the vinegar works, as soon as they are dry I would cost them with Sally Henson's Hard as Nails or paint! If you have some kind of buffing wheel on a power tool that can take it off too, but then be careful and this would be a one at a time type method which would be a pain, but still should work.

    Cool.
    Thanks for the replies.
I'm going try the vinegar treatment first.

I have used powder paint on oxidized jig heads. I used a butane torch to heat the heads which I think took care of the oxidation. After dipping in paint you would never know they had oxidation. Pop

I thought about just painting them but I didn't know if the oxidation would allow the paint to adhere correctly to the lead.
