    Default Grass Shrimp

If you had to tie a jig to match the color of a grass shrimp what would you use and the jig head color. I was thinking brown or gold, then it seems like some have gray / silver. I wonder if the color of the water effects the color of the shrimp? Thanks in advance for your input

If you wade through the "Jig Pictures" sticky at the top of the jig tying page, I believe there is a pretty convincing example in there somewhere. I think it's one of the older posts.

I would more likely try to make more of a fly and it would be more clear like a real grass shrimp. Maybe I would just wrap some lead wire around the hook shank for a little weight?

I bought some from Justcameslabdaddy a while back that were the best I have ever seen. See if you can get with him and maybe pick his brain, it would be worth the trouble.

Okay I have a picture for you tied by a friend of mine. I can try to get his recipe, but not sure it's available. I know he told me once how he did it, but my memory is not what it use to be.

He calls it his Glass Shrimp and the link is to his site. He is the man when talking Rope Dub tying. I have his first DVD and am about to see if he has a new one, it's looking that way on his site!

    Agreed, like this, for example:

I would just tie it on a jig hook.

My experience is not THAT GOOD. I wouldn't even know where to start . But that is one awesome tie and I checked the link out, that guy is awesome. You guys are in a league of y'all' own. I would have to have a step by step and a recipe for that.

Maybe I can get something about it. I know he told me before, but that was probably 4 or 5 years ago now, lol!
