Awesome idea! When I first looked at the top picture, it looked like you used a body from a plastic tube jig, but then I realized you simply painted the lead of the tube jig head.
Did a tutorial a long time ago about using large hackle for tailing material. You can use this technique for treble hooks.

Powder paint - some is phosphorus. You can flatten the jig in a vise before painting - holds the 3D eyes easier.

Thanks for the tip to flatten the jig head in the vise. How do you get the 2 tone paint job? Dip it in one color and then the other? They look really neat. Thanks for posting.

fc - dip the primary color then I use a paintbrush (loaded with the 2nd color) to tap the paint over the bottom of the jig. Doing more then 3 colors you don't want to dip. More then 4 colors - you are getting carried away - LOL
