Default Mixing White With Other Colors To Produce A Lighter Shade

Let's say I have about an ounce of a very dark blue Pro-Tec powder paint in a 2 oz cup. And let's say that I want to make the paint a sky blue or "Carolina Blue" as in UNC. I'm not a fan, I'm just trying to have a point of reference as to the shade I'm looking for. So to make the 1 once of very dark blue into a sky blue, how much white should I add? It doesn't have to be perfect, but I need a kind of starting point. Something to go by.

    Thanks

    GF

I would add the white slowly to get the sky blue that you want you can go ahead and powder coated jig head at a time into you get the right shade that you were wanting. adding white too many different colors to get a lighter shade also you can add glitter make sure that it is heat resistant such as the type of glitter that we use in hot plastic .

I have learned (the hard way) its easy to burn thru a lot of powder coat trying to get the right color. I suggest using a smaller container when trying blends. It will save you some money...

I still think it's easier to look through all the colors available and choose one like I want. I only tried blending a few times and never was happy with the result. Seems I can usually find most any color and shade I want if I look at enough places. Some places will sell smaller portions than others and some of these have a huge number of colors and shades. Now Chartreuse as far as I can tell only come from CSI/Pro-Tec.
