Anybody within an hour or so of Albermarle nc tying jigs? I thought about trying it and wanted to find someone to show me what all is involved.

Thanks guys. Really not sure if I need another hobby. Don't according to the wife. Wanted to actually see someone doing it and see what I would need first. I have been looking on here a lot and learned a lot already.

I don't think you'll regret it. Take it slow and buy good gear, not necessarily expensive, and a few materials and you'll be on the way. There was someone that posted here a few years back that tied with found feathers and sewing supplies on store bought jigheads. His vise was a pair of small tip Vise grips held in his bench vise. Tied like this for a lot of years before he bought a vise, and caught fish on his jigs.

I'm about 20 minutes north of Columbia, a hour south of Charlotte right off I77 if that helps.
