If you have an Academy Sports near you I would check there. My store was selling 2 Road Runners with Turbo Tails for .48! I bought all the ones my store had. They were barbless.
Does anyone know where I can get some road runner head in various sizes that are not painted and don't have the shank? I am wanting to tie some of my own jigs on Road Runner heads.

Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

I really doubt you will find unpainted Roadrunner heads. I will PM you to tell you what I know and don't.

Her is my solution, I bought a mold and going to pour my own. NOT I SAY NOT FOR RESALE. I wanted then in 1/32, 1/16 with no barb. Hard to find. Hope eto have the first batch done this Saturday. Will post pics.

I prefer the mold over store bought heads. I know 1/32 oz is skips go to size, but for most cases its a little small for my home lake. I have to deal with a lot of deep clear spawn situations and need to make long cast and get down close to the bottom and find the 1/16 is perfect. Problem is that factory RR heads are closer to 1/8oz than 1/16. The ones I poor from my Do-it mold are just right.
Fish like your hungry!
Absolutely are right the 1/16 Original Roadrunner head is close to 1/8. I have some ponies as well and their 1/16 is close enough. I find their 1/32 is really about 1/24 and I use both them and the real Roadrunner 1/32 and both work well for me. I can follow them after the spawn into water as deep as 20' and catch them, but it's usually near the Hydrilla. I find it very easy to use in water to 10' deep, but just don't worry if I find them deeper. A huge % of the time though I will find them in normal times in water 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 foot of water during the spawn. If I should luck into some right on the bank the 1/32 is really great in the 1' to 3' of water over their beds.
I don't cast for them though, well 98% of the time anyway. I longline them in the spring time.
