Those will definitely catch fish. One quick piece of advice though is to shorten those tails up, I don't know about your lakes but where I'm at if I tie a little longer tail I get short strikes where they hit only the tail but a tail that's just a touch longer than the body they end up with the hook in the roof of their mouths. Hope you didn't get into this to save money like I did LOL it's very addictive especially after you've experienced the thump on your on jigs.

I take the opposite view from Matt, I like a long tail and don't have any issues with short strikes unless I am fishing bluegills! Even my little 1/32 Oz Roadrunners end up being 2 3/4" to 3" long with marabou tail. I have had some tell me that for as many years as I have tied jigs, something over 12 years and most stopped telling me that a long time ago. I never have had any complaints from anyone I have tied a jig for. I even fish with braid and just don't have any issues with tail length! Most of my tails extend about 1 1/2" passed the end of the hook. However that is just me and my opinion and I do know there are plenty of guys that like a short tail. So I say tie your jigs the way you like them!

Really I do not think it matters all that much especially with a Hackle tail, but my Marabou with a little length and it looks like it's swimming!

Those will definitely catch some Speks.
I'm with Skip on the long tail. I like my baits a little on the big side.

Bob,,, I got bit years ago when I was a child growing up on Cape Cod where my stepdad taught us everything from tying our own flies to making our own fishing poles,,,, It took me nearly 40 years to get back into it, and now I'm hooked,,,lol

Nice ties - but you're in big trouble now!!! You're gonna start wondering why your wallet is always empty - It does get addicting. You're only on the edge of the darkside right now you still have a choice!!!!!!!!!!
